iPad: Accessibility

Enable accessibility features.

iPad supports vision, hearing, motor skills, learning, and literacy needs for everyone. Built‑in features help learners stay on task, hear descriptions of what’s on the screen, amplify what others are saying, and much more.

Try it.

Apply it.

  • Support emerging literacy skills. Use Speak Screen and Highlight Content to have iPad highlight words as they’re being read aloud.

  • Use Siri to quickly turn a variety of accessibility features on or off. Say something like “Hey Siri, turn VoiceOver on.”

You can teach iPad to turn on an accessibility feature when you speak a word or another sound of your choosing with Vocal Shortcuts.
