Oedipus Project Menu-Final Project

Hello, everyone!

I am a High School English Teacher and I recently finished a unit on the Greek Tragedy Oedipus with my students. As their final project, I wanted to do something a little different, and I wanted to offer the opportunity for students have choice and the opportunity to express themselves creatively while still demonstrating their understanding of the content. To achieve this, I created a project menu, which I have attached.

I created three categories (Visual, Writing, and Large Project), and students had three options from each category. They had to pick one option from each category for a total of 3 assignments for their final project. I placed no limitations on how they created these projects or assignments. They could create physical posters or projects or digital, and I left the actual execution of each item vague on purpose. I created a rubric to grade them, which I have attached, and I had some pretty amazing projects come through. Feel free to explore some the examples of things I received.

Lizzy

I like how you structured your choice board! I think I will borrow your idea for my Algebra classes next year!
